Nothing exciting happening. Seems to be the theme lately. I'm exhausted, the whole packing up, moving, unpacking is a pain in the arse. Next time I do that I need to take a few vacation days to help me get through.
As it is, I'm going to bed between 10:30 p.m. and midnight and am back up between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m. So, there isn't a whole lot of sleep happening and then I run all day, run when I get home. I did manage to sit down and watch Twilight on Friday or Saturday night (I don't remember). That's about the only break from the action I've gotten.
Right now I'm ready to drop but I'm babysitting my friends little boy, who is extremely cute, but not tired :( Too bad!
I wish he were tired, I'd lay him down in the bed with me, shut the door so he couldn't get in any trouble if he did wake up and I'd fall out with him! Right now, he wants to go for a walk...so I guess I'll be walking away!

Relaxing on Saturday?
I had hoped to jump on the bike and ride up to Kirkland today - but the forecast changed and they said it was going ot be very cold and we are under a winter storm warning...what the heck? 3 + inches expected of snow! ARGH! So, the plan for the bike ride is definately out!
Instead I believe I will go brew a pot of coffee soon. Put on some Billy Joel and start cleaning soon. I am aware that it's only 6 a.m . but if I get it done early that means I can sit and watch a movie later.
I still haven't hooked up the cable - not for any good reason - only that I've been really busy and cable t.v. is not high on my priority list - as far as I'm concerned kids watch too much t.v. anyway and when I'm not home while they are I know they watch way more than I would ever like them to watch. So, still no cable - I may even go with satellite, so I'm considering - I may also put all those parent controls on so that when I'm still at work they can only watch discovery and the animal planet :)
I'm trying to settle into the new house - I really need dressers though - the old house had so much built in storage space that I gave all my dressers away to people who needed them and now I need a few again. I think Cassy and I may hit the 2 or 3 garage sales I saw in the paper for today...to see if I can scrounge anything good up!
Other than that no big plans for the day or weekend really. We are going to my Bonnie and Brenda's tomorrow for taco's.
All right I think that's about it. I may do some crafty stuff today - just depends.
Happy and Safe Riding.

Wish I had a rain coat...
because I would go play in the rain with the kids. It was almost 60 degrees with rain today - but it was so very nice out there - I really just wanted to go for a walk in the rain, or sit on the porch with a hot cup of coffee and enjoy the sound and smell of it.
My favorite smells are the smell of rain (yes it does have a smell) and fresh cut grass....combine the two and I'm super happy!
Today was hectic at work - I was on a deadline to get some information to our corporate office - unfortunately all that information was in a storage shed - so I had to get Oly to go get it for me - then I had to go through the boxes and find what I needed. Thankfully I'm anal retentive about labeling things - so everything was easy to find. It was tedious work though and I finally wrapped it up at 2:45 p.m. I started the project this morning at 6:30 a.m. I'm thankful that it's done and I don't have to go back to it tomorrow. Instead I get to grab my insurance book and start calling insurance companies to find out why they haven't made the Medicare A and Medicare B coinsurance payments to the facility ---I believe though that the main reason some companies are behind can be blamed on the same reasons we are all robbing peter to pay paul - the economy sucks and no one has any money to pay their bills....but I still have to call :)
Tomorrow is also my day for bringing the group lunch. Wednesday's have been designated as our "luncheon" day, there is a group of 8 of us girls who eat lunch together so every Wednesday two of us are grouped together and take turns bringing a lunch dish and dessert. Tomorrow I'm bringing Mostoccioli which I just finished making and Mary is bringing the dessert for the group...let's just hope I remember to take it in with me in the morning!
Okay that's it for now - I have to get my lecture together for my Thursday night class since we will be discussing Holy Week and Easter.

Crash, bang, rattle, rattle, crash, beep, beep
I was sad to see that Lance Armstrong crashed in the beginning of the race today. Not only did he crash but he was injured. According to the news that I've read he has a broken collarbone.
I hope he has a quick recovery ...not really sure what the recovery time from that type of injury is, but hoping he makes a full and quick recovery so that he can be back on the bike again soon!
Best wishes to Lance.

Walking the dogs....
Since it got cold out we haven't taken the dogs on many LONG walks (for those who may wonder - long is anything over a mile). We go around the block, they do their duty (or rather doodie)- we come back home...
Today was pretty nice and since we are settling in nicely at the new house Cass and I decided to take the dogs on a good long walk - I think my sweet little Vivian, who like me looks like a blubbery walrus, was no up for a 2.5 mile walk! It was good for all of us.
I tried to take a pic of Cassy and Brownie but it didn't come out so well, however, I'm still sharing it!

The Ride
With a new place to live comes a new work commute. I rode the Trek today since I live very close to work now - it only took about 8 minutes or so to get there - if that - not exactly sure since my computer was not working on the bike - apparently sitting through the winter my battery died. So, when I got to work I googled it from my house to work and it says that it's 2.06 miles each way - So, I was close because I said it was a mile and a half or two miles.
It was very windy this morning and a little colder than I expected - glad it was only two miles because I wasn't wearing any gloves!
REMINDER TO SELF: walk outside and see how it feels out there before opening the garage door and riding out! DUH!
Other than being a bit chilly it felt great, it felt so good to ride again! It's been a long hiatus!
I must admit - I feel like a damn walrus, all fat and blubbery!
Here's hoping I don't look like a walrus riding a bike ....no spandex yet! I don't want to scare the drivers!
Okay, gotta run, I have to go out with Cassy and walk the dogs.

The boss is back tomorrow...
thank God! I've been losing my mind for a week trying to do her work, my work and take care of getting everyone and everything organized for the move!
Not much to write about . I'll be able to ride into work tomorrow which is a wonderful thing! I've been off the bike for way to long and my midsection is noticeably fluffier because of it! Riding the road bike in because it's been so warm and I just really want to have a fast ride! Who cares if I get to work all gross and sweaty! LOL!
Safe and Happy Riding! I'm off to hit the shower and then jump in bed to grab some zzz's. I haven't made it to bed before midnight in so long that I really can't seem to recall - I've been sleep deprived for about a month! Tonight I'm snoozing!

Changes....
As soon as I wrote the title for this particular day I began thinking of the tune by Fleetwood Mac. Anyway...changes have occurred.
After discussing with the landlord that due to Bob's hours being cut in half and all the medical stuff we've had with Brendon and I, we were really struggling to make rent they came up with some ideas....1. for both of us to go work Saturday's and Sunday's at his factory for $10.00 per hour or 2. for us to give him the 'great room' in the house and he'd take $200.00 per month off the rent - NO to both ideas.
First I'm not going to go work for him for ten bucks an hour doing hard labor (I make more to sit behind my desk) secondly, if either of us got hurt there we'd be in worse shape! Third, that would take all family time away from us.
So, we began looking for another house, two seemed like a good thing and then fell through - finally we found a place that is of course smaller than the house we've been living in but thankfully it saves us a great deal of money per month! So, we began moving on Sunday and thankfully after last nights time over there loading my suburban and Matt's (our friend) truck we are nearly done! Another load (all of Bob's tools and stuff from the garage and the kids bikes) and we should be done, then I can clean it and be done with them!
My bike riding has certainly taken a back seat during all of this and the stress of trying to find a place put me on the fast track to some stress eating! I need to find a way to overcome that! Thankfully I'm not quite as stressed right now and I'll be back on the bike! Temps are foecasted to reach 70 Today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
