Rim Tape/Brendon update/second jobs

Yes, Rim tape...it was the answer to all the problems that have kept me off the bike this year. So, all in all I've lost hundreds of miles of riding, hours of talking with friends while on rides all because my rim tape had gotten too thin in one spot (this was not noticable to the eye).

I took it into Tobie the other day and after some errors he found the problem that has haunted me for the past 2 plus months.

Wednesday night I will be back on the road with my group - barring any other catastrophies....

Brendon update:

I heard back from the cardiologists office and he now has to see another specialist who will try to figure out how to get his irregular heart rythmns under control - which could mean putting a pacemaker in. We will see him soon and I will update as soon as I know more.

Have I mentioned that having a second job is the pits. I love being home with my family, hanging out at the pool, and being on my bike - a second job cuts into those things - although considering the state of our economy I should be glad that I was able to find a second job.

That's it folks - gotta head over to Midway Airport to pick up mom....WAIT - did I mention my mom has a new man?

Yes folks, my mom - who was so quick to say that she didn't want/need a man because she never wanted to have to answer to anyone again has A MAN!

The man I'm speaking of is a very sweet man named Gilberto. He is from Portugal (the islands) and they dated when they were teenagers...he has come back into her life and recently he came here for a week - two weeks later (last Sunday) she left to go visit him for a week - now she's coming back this evening. The 7th of July the two of them will be meeting up and going to Portugal together - it really is very cute! Love is a beautiful thing!
