My son Brendon has been showing an interest in photography. Yesterday I took him out early in the morning. It was a gorgeous overcast day, so no worries about the sunlight streaking up the pics. He had his little snap and shoot but I handed him my Nikon D3000 and let him go to town...he was THRILLED!
We went to several different places and he took some awesome shots! I am very proud of him! He did a great job and we had a blast. I also want to thank JR WYATT PHOTOGRAPHY and CIJAY PIKULA IMAGING for their kind words to Brendon! They had him grinning ear to ear yesterday.
Here are some of the pictures he took yesterday...they are also up on my facebook page.
It's a shame the wind didn't catch the American Flag here - I think it would have made a phenomenal shot if it had.
This is the old Wurlitzer Building in Dekalb that has begun to cave in . I thought he did a nice job capturing the water tower being the building as well.

These are definitely great photos!
Sally, Thanks for commenting. Brendon has really started impressing me with his eye. He even did all the editing of one of his photos, the one of the lady by the cross had a tree on the right side in the background...he spent about an hour cloning the grey sky in an effort to clean up the picture. I showed him where the tools were after he mentioned that he wished the tree weren't there and he did the rest. Pretty impressive for an 11 year old who never used photo editing tools before!
