Breathe a sigh of relief...

After all the stress, all the late night projects getting finished the holiday was over in just a few short hours. All gifts have been handed out and opened.

I did not finish the purse for my sister in law to be...I still need to line it...so I'll be giving that to her in the next couple weeks.

My gift to Danny went over well, especially since what I got for him, he thought I was getting for Bob. I wasn't sure which Packers Plaque he would like more so I called him and told him Bob was at the doctors and I ran out to get lunch but stopped at a store to get his present and needed advice....I asked him which of the two plaques he thought Bob would like more...and then I bought it, wrapped it and watched with a satisfied smile as I saw it dawn on him that I'd duped him :) He was very happy and in turn so was I.

Bob got his AJ Hawk Jersey (Packers) which had him smiling ear to ear as did his Harley Davidson Riding Boots (no, he doesn't own a Harley motorcycle...but he has the boots)!

All of the boys were stoked about their gifts as was Cassy.

It was a really nice day. Bob cooked the meat and I did the rest of the dinner. It turned out really well (Prime Rib, garlic mashed potatoes with lots of butter, sweet corn and lots of sweets for dessert).

My friend Karen stopped by yesterday (Christmas Eve). It was nice to see her, hadn't seen her since Bob's benefit and before that it had been way too long. She is one of my biking buddies so it was nice to catch up. She gave me a gift certificate to the bike shop . Very cool gift. I love spending money at the bike shop, I love spending someone else's money even more :)

Well, I better run....going to relax, drink some coffee, and enjoy a little t.v.

Hoping tomorrow morning has clear roads so I can go for a little run before everyone wakes up!

In a Frenzy

It's Sunday, only 5 Days until the Christmas Madness comes to a head! I don't have everything done....YIKES. Part of the reason for not having everything done is that I'm making some of my presents and sometimes get sidetracked so don't get them done quickly!

I have a couple more to finish (they are all started). I'm ready to pull out my hair...I need a couple extra pairs of hands....

Okay, gotta run. Need to finish the scarf this morning before I head to Tom & Jerry's for work...then have to come home, make Taco dinner and then finish the skirt on a dress.

Have a super day and MERRY CHRISTMAS!

A Little Humor

REDNECK FIRE ALARM

2009 Drawing to a close...a few musings.

With only a week and 1 day left until Christmas, 2009 is drawing to a close. It's been a really crazy year for those of us in the Croom house.

We've been through Brendon's heart scare(s). Cassy has had a baby....My sweet, beautiful, wonderful grandson, Caiden. Bob has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma and begun treatments for that.

Emotionally we've been through a lot....but, we are still all here, hanging in there, falling down and helping each other up, but surviving and trusting in God, ourselves and each other to make it through all of the craziness.

We want to thank our friends and family, our co-workers and even the complete strangers that have stepped forward to assist us in various ways.

The people who have been kind enough to drop off a box of food, or send a few dollars to help with gas, the people who have called and offered to come take the kids to activities or take Bob to a treatment. The people who came out to the benefit's and spent their money to help a family that in some cases, they didn't even know. The people who helped plan and organize and donated their time for the benefit's. We thank you all! Everything that was done we appreciate more than we can possibly express.

God Bless.

G-Man

Gaven has joined wrestling and during practice on Wednesday night fell on the stairs while running laps in the school and sprained his ankle. Doctor has him in a partial cast and off his foot completely for 1 week...needless to say he's going to miss his 1st match and he is not so happy about that!

Thanks

Thanks to all the people who came out to the benefits; we really enjoyed seeing everyone and appreciated everyone all that was done for us!
